A poor man’s entire life saving was destroyed by termites and it is probably the saddest news that you will read today. The Indian Farmer who hails from Andra Pradesh saved his money in the form of cash in a metal box only to later find his money eaten up by termites.
The pig rearer was saving money to later build a house with all his savings and since he did not have any bank account, he kept it all in a metal box. But unfortunately, termites made a hole in the bundle of money leaving them entirely unusable.
Bijili Jamalayya is an elderly farmer aged 52-years who wanted to build a house in his lot. He has been saving money for years and had a goal to save around Rs. 10 Lakhs ( $ 13.7k) in order to build his own house. Till now he was able to collect half of the amount that is Rs. 5 lakhs or $6.8k and kept it in his house locked in a box.
But when he opened the case, his heart was broken seeing the torn cash notes and he was devastated to learn that termites have feasted upon his entire life saving leaving him helpless. After learning this unfortunate information, he cried and collapsed.
His family members and locals from his town tried to inform the police about the situation and narrated the whole story. Jamalayya told the police that he did not had any bank account so that is why he kept his cash in a metal box. The police promised to help him financially if there are no criminal records found in his name.
