The Haldi ceremony was one of the many ceremonies that we got to see at the Nickyanka wedding. The couple is married for more than two months now but their wedding pictures are still not over yet. Lilly Singh, better known by the name ‘Superwoman’ has shared few pictures on her Instagram handle from the Haldi ceremony at the wedding of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas and looks like she had the most fun during this ritual.

The super-fun superwoman posted these pictures with the most epic and funny caption that reads, “How to turn a Jonas brother into a Simpson. If I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna do it right! My sis @priyankachopra told me no mercy during the haldi (turmeric) ceremony on @nickjonas. Ya girl had to deliver.”
Haldi ceremony is the part of Indian rituals that gets performed during a Hindu marriage. In this very ritual, the bride and the groom are rubbed with the paste of turmeric. It is believed that it will bring peace and harmony to the lives of the Newlyweds and they will have a peaceful start.
Another significance of applying turmeric paste on the body is that it helps in clearing the skin for your D-Day so that you will look glowing on your wedding day. To add some extra fun to the ritual it is performed with enthusiasm where the family members tease the bride and groom by applying too much turmeric paste on the almost whole body. As you can see in these pics Lilly Singh is showing no mercy on Nick Jonas and almost drowned him into the paste.
On the right side of Nick Jonas, his wife is thoroughly enjoying it while her husband is getting bullied through the hands of the Superwoman. And poor Nick Jonas is sitting there helplessly waiting to be saved. Apart from jokes, it looks like everybody had fun and the wedding of the couple is the most fun celebrity wedding we have ever encountered.
