Actually, it’s an 84-days long project but the participants need to be in bed for the initial 60 days. According to the news, NASA is looking for 24 people. The American Space Agency will take 24 selected people to the German Aerospace Center in September 2019. Before the onset of the mission, these people will be living through the same conditions so that they can practice.
These people have to be on beds for two months for a test related to artificial gravity. During this period, scientists will examine the health conditions of these people. It will include tests of muscle strength, balance, cognitive ability and cardiovascular activity etc.
On the other hand, the team of scientists, psychiatrists and medical professionals will cooperate with the selected people. It involves the responsibility of their catering and nutrition. The food given to these people will not include additives or any artificial sweeteners. However, these people will be given sweets occasionally.
The selected people will be divided into two groups, both the groups will stay in the same room. During the two-month bed rest, they will do all the work and activity that a person normally does, but everything must be done only on the bed. Whether it is eating or going to restrooms, they won’t be allowed to leave the bed.
These people have to follow the instructions given. These people will also be provided with TV, free time activities as well as reading and writing materials.

NASA’s project is expected to give scientists the benefit of research. For example, in the study, they will get to know that how do astronauts exactly feel and live through the situation while in space.
