The man gained around 18,000 followers on Twitter under the username @azusagakuyuki by posting pictures of himself in glamorous biker jackets along with Yamaha bikes. Astound by the beauty in the pictures, the audience was getting really impressed with the young female Japanese motorbike but only to find out later that in reality, it is a 50-year-old man who has been deceiving people all along.
In one of the pictures posted by him, the followers suspected something in the mirror reflection. They saw the reflection to be different from the pictures posted by him.
Then, a Japanese entertainment TV show made their effort to track down the person and reveal his true identity. They tracked him and asked him to uncover his face by removing the helmet. When he did, everybody was so shocked to see the true face behind those glamorous pictures. It was a 50-year-old man who was pretending to be a young female Japanese motorbiker all this time.
The man named Zonggu revealed that he tricked people with his glamorous photos using photo editing apps because nobody would want to see an old uncle. He tried to gain popularity on social media by fooling people into thinking he is a young glamorous girl.
The man said he enjoyed the feeling of being an online celebrity for a while. The public had a mixed reaction to his reveal, some said he did a great job with editing, and some also admitted to having their trust issues upgraded. Nonetheless, catfishing on social media is not new but that doesn’t make it any less wrong.
