Imagine if someone got to know the children they have been raising for years aren’t actually theirs. This is exactly what happened with Richard Mason, a 55 years old man from Rhos, Wales and also the co-founder of supermarket.com found his three sons, one 23 years old and the 19 years old twin isn’t his whom he had been raising for 21 years. The man got to know about this scandal of his ex-wife in a test he had where he had diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a disorder which completely removes the possibility of having children. Later DNA test proved that he is not the biological father of the children.
He has divorced about 10 years ago. He had to pay £4 million ($5.09 million) to his wife, Kate at the time of their divorce. But the millionaire has sued his ex-wife for paternity fraud after he found that the three children weren’t his and was compensated with the amount of £250,000 ($318,250).
“I just didn’t know who I was anymore. It’s like suffering a bereavement. In an instant, I discovered I didn’t really have any children. You begin to question everything you thought you knew when such a fundamental pillar of your life is suddenly removed,” he said.

His now ex-wife did not get pregnant till 7 years of their marriage. She was having an affair at that time and that man is assumed to be the father of the three children.
“I just didn’t know who I was anymore. It’s like suffering a bereavement. In an instant, I discovered I didn’t really have any children. You begin to question everything you thought you knew when such a fundamental pillar of your life is suddenly removed,” said the millionaire.
This incident is really heartbreaking. Two of the children have stopped talking to him after this drastic revelation. Mason is still overcoming over the fact that he lived with this lie for these years.
