1. Tongue

Our tongue is like a sponge which absorbs bacteria from the drinks and food we consume. If you do not clean your tongue regularly there are chances that you might develop stinky breath due to the presence of bacteria. According to a study, more than 50 percent of stinky breath also know as halitosis is due to the residues of the tongue.

How to clean:

You should always clean your tongue after brushing your teeth. Use your toothbrush and gently clean the back of your tongue and brush outwards towards the tip of your tongue.

How to clean:

It is very easy to clean your belly button. You can use a soft cloth to gently rub your navel. You can use table salt to cleanse the area of the belly button. Remember not to use creams or other skin products as these may leave leftovers that might cause accumulation.

3. Scalp

Every one of us washes our hair regularly but none of us have heard that we should use a small amount of shampoo. Washing your hair daily washes away the natural and beneficial oils present in the hair that nourishes the hair and makes it healthier. Many of us don’t pay attention to our scalp while washing our hair. If the scalp is not washed properly, the sweat glands will form blisters.

How to clean:

We must scrub our hair for at least two minutes to eliminate the dead skin cells. The scalp must also be massaged properly to increase the blood flow which gives the required nutrients to the hair. The hair must be shampooed according to the type of the hair as too many chemicals can also damage the hair. In case of oily hair, the hair must be shampooed every other day.

4. Behind the ears

The skin layer behind the ears has a high accumulation of sebaceous glands which collects sweat and release sebum. This is the reason why we need to wash and scrub properly behind our ears. The section behind the ears can sometimes smell like cheese because of the growth of the bacteria. Many a time, when the ears are not properly cleaned, blackheads form in this area.

How to clean:

Before you take a shower, wash the area properly with cotton rinsed in white vinegar in order to kill the germs and bacteria. Also if you wear earrings, you must often remove them and wash them too.

Many of us don’t wash or scrub our feet while showering but according to the experts, the feet must also be washed and cleaned regularly as we wash our face. It is very easy for our feet to be exposed to bacteria and fungi which can lead to many skin problems and irritations.

How to clean:

After washing or scrubbing your feet, apply some lotion or moisturizer daily in order to preserve the suppleness of the skin. Do not forget the areas between your heels, and the toes which can dry fast and therefore can lead to skin infections. You must also cut and file your nails every two weeks.  According to experts, you must also rotate your footwear to freshen them since the sweat of the feet can accumulate and leave remnants.
