She was dressed in the attire designed by Thom Browne, the color of her dress was dark, oxblood red that resembled the menstruation blood. But what made us think that Cardi B gown was inspired by Menstruation was not only it’s color but also it’s the feathered edges to the way the train flows, Cardi B was probably a walking uterus.

Here are a few points that highlight that Cardi B gown was inspired by menstruation. First, the color of the gown. For the people who think that the blood flowing from periods is the same as that resulting from a paper cut. But the case is the basic difference is blood from the paper cut is bright red and that the color of periods blood is dark red.

Secondly,  the way her outfit flows resembles of flowing of liquid, for eg, menstrual blood, the folds which appear in the front of Cardi B’s attire are straight up vaginal. The folds which originate from her hips and flows resemble labia, while the inserting of the outfit inside those folds has structures which remind of the clitoral hood, and then the vaginal opening. These things are present at the bottom of her dress.

As her attire moves upward to her body, she also highlights the other part including breast and belly button. These things add up to the theory of her gown to be concluded as inspired by menstruation.

“I designed this dress for Cardi specifically because she has the ultimate beauty in a woman’s body, and that is what the dress is about for me: taking advantage of that beauty,” Browne said
