Nothing could be more heartbreaking and painful than knowing that your child has only a few hours left to live. It is really difficult to be optimistic and handle your emotions at such a time. But these parents’ decision gave their baby a chance to live. Jaxon Buell was born with Microhydranencephaly (MHAC). Microhydranencephaly is a rare condition where the baby is born with development abnormality in the brain. The life expectancy of a child born with such a condition is just a few hours and Jaxon was born with only 20% of brain.

Doctors left Jaxon parents with only one option and that was abortion but they said that the child must be given a chance to live. He was born with just 20% of his brain and skull. But to their happiness, their decision came out to be the best as their child recently celebrated his third birthday. It was really out of the expectations that he would live and it seemed like a miracle even to the doctors.

The little baby although making slow progress but actually great progress. He has started calling his mum and dad. He also expresses his love for them. He has started grabbing things and playing with toys of which a green turtle is his favorite as its light turns on while it is pressed. Brittany and Brandon, Jaxon’s parents are still trying to figure out the cause for his condition.
They have also received a lot of love and support from the public. They have received a lot of financial help too and that eased Jaxon’s medication expenses a lot. This all wouldn’t have been possible without the strong faith that Brittany and Brandon have kept and they say Jaxon is a blessing to them.
