There are two sides to a coin, so is it with human beings, a real and a phony side, that exist in all. Now, the point here is to distinguish between the two, so that one knows before proceeding with the relationship. To distinguish, whether that’s a real person or a phony person, is seriously a difficult task, but after going through this article, it’s gonna become easy. The question here is not to judge anyone, but become alert, remember,precaution better than cure.
1. Fussy Vs. Impressionable
A real person who is impressionable never goes out of their way to impress people, in fact, they are at ease with themselves and care the damn, what others think of them.
In the case of a phony person or a fussy person, does demand attention, but is very difficult to please or impress. They have a personal taste and is very detailing in all matters, which is very difficult to be met.
2. Reaching Out Vs. Haughty
A real person is always wanting to reach out and build relationships because that will be beneficial for him. Living life entirely depends on relationships and how they are carried out.
But where a phony person is concerned, he is always arrogant, proud, and snobbish. He always looks down on people because he considers himself superior to others.
3. Samaritan Vs. Selfish
A good Samaritan is actually a real person because they do selfless service and help others without any conditions. They believe that in giving is getting.
Whereas, a phony person is truly a selfish person, who may help, but has some expectations or reservations for the help he is providing. If there is no gain in the deed, then he never comes forward to fulfill it.
4. Sincere Opinion Vs. Liar
A real person will always have a sincere opinion about everything when asked. He will be exact and to the point, no beating around the bush with what he has to say.
And a liar is obviously a phony person you can easily distinguish because he will speak what you want to hear. Either he will tell you something that will upset you or say what pleases you.
5. Practical Vs. Impractical
Those who are practical will make sure to fulfill and complete their task or commitments they have made. And a real person will never let you down, no matter what.
This is how you distinguish an impractical man, he will just be words without any action. Not the one to walk the talk and will always leave you halfway in anything, leaving you disappointed.

6. Loyalist Vs. Hypocrite
When someone tells you up to your face the truth, he is considered a loyalist, even though the truth is something negative about you. He plays no game with you because he is loyal in the relationship.
You can easily distinguish a phony person because he will be talking behind your back and making fun of you. In front of you, he will act as if though he his a good friend and such people are called hypocrites.
7. Humble Vs. Bragger
A humble man is someone who has humility, in other words, a true man. He lives with the truth and is a down to earth person who lives life humbly, as per the principles of life.
But to distinguish someone who is a phony person, just hear him bragging away about things that are not true, whether it’s about his achievements or the things that he possesses. Hence, never trust such a person.
8. Tidy Vs. Untidy
A tidy person is someone who makes sure to clean up things for themselves and others too. You can distinguish this character because he is concerned and prefers to be clean from the inside and the outside.
And an untidy man is the one, who doesn’t bother about anyone whether it’s him or others. In fact, he makes things messier for himself and other people.
9. Listener Vs. Pretender
The one who is truly attached with you and is concerned will always listen with patience to what you have to say. And he will genuinely try to provide some solution to your existing problem.
And a phony person will pretend to hear you but is never focussed on what you have to say because somewhere he is not attached to you emotionally or mentally. Hence, the words he speaks will have no value nor weight.
