The whole world knew that the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is going to be a star-studded affair. And as guessed a lot of Hollywood celebrities were seen at the ceremony including Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, ever chic- Clooney and of course Meghan’s best friend Serena Williams, the tennis legend.
But now as the much-awaited event of this year is over, it’s now time to re-examine the guest list or let’s say rumored guest list and see which of the big celebrities didn’t make it to the ceremony. We know even though someone or the other in the royal family is friends with some of the A-listers, not all of them could make it to Meghan’s and Prince Harry wedding ceremony.
So here we have a list of celebrities who didn’t get an invitation to attend the much-anticipated event of the year!
1.Barack and Michelle Obama
Despite their close friendship with Prince Harry, The former first couple was not invited to the Royal Wedding.
Unfortunately, this new member of the Royal family was not able to attend his uncle’s and aunt wedding ceremony. Prince William and Kate had to hire a babysitter to watch their one-month-old prince for the day.
The Oscar-winning actor attended Eton College with Prince William, royal Best Man, but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to attend the Royal wedding.
4.Most of The Spice Girls
Following rumors that The Spice Girls would reunite for a performance at the royal wedding, Mel C clarified that the girl group was never actually asked to perform. Victoria Beckham was the only one Spice Girl that made the VIP guest list.
Jolie is one of the celebrities who was not seen at the Royal wedding despite being an activist. She was spotted at London’s Heathrow airport ahead of the ceremony, and as she has ties to the queen, it was assumed that she would be invited.
Prince Harry and Rihanna became fast friends when they met. Though the “Wild Thoughts” singer wasn’t seen at the royal wedding.
The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, was not extended an invitation to the royal wedding.
Rod is one of the celebrities who has a good tie with Prince Charles. He performed at Charles’ 60th birthday celebration, but he was not invited at Meghan and Harry’s ceremony.
Back in 2013, Taylor Swift attended a charity event at Kensington Palace where she performed a rendition of “Livin’ on a Prayer” beside Bon Jovi and Prince William. But unfortunately, she is among the celebrities who didn’t get invited to the Roya wedding.
Margot Robbie reportedly texts with Prince Harry, but the hot star didn’t get invited to his wedding.
